Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. The quote tool only needs gender, birth date, stated health level, tobacco status, desired coverage amount and desired term. These six answers give us enough information to get rates from carriers. We only collect your name, address and medical information if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
They represent what each carrier is quoting for the health rating you selected. After you apply, the carrier performs underwriting and might confirm, upgrade or change that rating, which changes the final premium. Everything shown here is an estimate for comparison only, not a promise of price or coverage.
What happens when I click Apply?
You enter your name, which pre-fills the application with all your previous answers. Then you're routed into a secure system operated by the carriers where you finish and sign. You can stop at any step and return later. Susman Insurance Agency, a California-licensed firm (License 0B75129), manages the process.
Will I need a medical exam?
That depends on the carrier, the amount you're applying for, and your answers. Many carriers now speed up the underwriting through instant or accelerated methods for qualifying applicants. Each quote on this site tells you whether an exam is likely, possibly needed, or unnecessary for that particular product.
Is a longer term better?
That depends on when you need the coverage to end. A term covers specific years when your dependents would struggle most without your income: a mortgage to pay, young children to raise, a small business loan to retire. Longer terms cost more per month but lock your rate in for more years. The tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quoting tool gathers no personal information—just the six health and coverage questions. We don't sell or share any visitor information, and we track site visits without cookies or ads. Read the privacy page for a complete list of what's collected and who sees it.
